Good eveing one and all....

Total frustration with Blogger tonight. I'm sure it is probably operator error, but still! I can not post any photos while on my laptop, but can on my desktop..... I just can not figure out what is going on (pout). (Yes, sister I know, I am good at pouting :)).....

On the 'energy' front, things are cool... I managed to get my cutting table cleaned in my sewing room, a couple loads of wash folded and put away as well as 2 more loads washed. I was even out running around with Carl for a couple hours, also. He thought it was Friday all day and I was wishing it was. I don't want to go to work tomorrow, I'd rather play... Oh well, after tomorrow I will have 3 days to play...

Good night and happy dreams,

Good Monday!

How has everybody's Monday gone? Mine has been a real bear! I sure am glad it is almost to an end and tomorrow has just got to be better!

As far as the energy level is today I can say it only got me through 8 hours of work and nothing after I got home. I really have to find some energy this week so I can start on a new quilt for a granddaughter..... Of course I need to clean up the sewing room first. Everything was 'stashed' in there for the party and of course I can't see the top of the cutting table. At least it shouldn't take to much time to get it back in order.

Until next time,

Good Sunday Afternoon!

Today is the last day of vacation. Not happy about that, but did enjoy my time off.

Carl's birthday party was a huge success yesterday and I want to thank everyone that made it so.

Today my energy is way low..... Just want to lay around the house today and I just may accomplish that much....

Don't have any comments on my changes yet. I'm still undecided, but did want to update and get jazzier.

Until next time,

Changes, changes, changes!

Good evening all!
Yeah, you can tell I have been playing again :)... I'm not sure if I really like the whole set up, but will leave it alone for awhile.

If you could drop me a 'comment' below to let me know what you think, I'd appreciate it.

Somebody has a special day today........

I sure hope this works better this time than last time. If you notice the date on the heading on the previous post you will see it says, 'January 2' and the first line says the 'first day of the new year'. I did try several times to post that on the 1st, but my internet was giving me fits... Lets see how it works this time...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Carl!  Love you bunches!

Well, the photos just won't load for me.... So a different glitch today, sigh....

Happy New Year!

The first day of the new year and so far I haven't gotten in any trouble, LOL!

For those that have visited my blog before you should notice a new 'widget' to the left. It is 'NaBloPoMo'. I joined their challenge for the month of January and it is suppose to be on 'where do you get your energy' or anything else you may want to post. It's a good one for me because I usually don't have much 'energy' after work to do what I want or need to do. In my house the housework is the last thing on the list. I really have to be in the 'mood' to get that stuff done. The only housework I really do on a regular basis is my wash and there are times when even that doesn't get done like it should.

When I am in the mood to get the house spic and span then you had better stay out of my way. I tend to get just a little bit grumpy having to walk around somebody to get where I am going. You can just ask my husband about that..... I also find that I get more things done when I have less time. You know the days that you have to go in a million different directions, but need to get a couple things accomplished in the house.... I also generally have extra energy when 1) there is company coming, 2) there is company coming~~~~ I may not scrub the floors to a high shine, but I will get them vacuumed, clean sheets on the spare bed and the bathroom cleaned. If I plan on getting more done and run out of time I don't get upset. My life is not about how clean my house has been my whole life...

My energy today was pretty good. I accomplished going to a family New Years party, visited a sick grandson and family, partially rearranged a bedroom, cut out 2 caftans, had company and worked on my blog. No the dishes didn't get done. They will be there for me tomorrow unless a gremlin comes to visit...

Until next time,

The year in review

The past few days I have been looking back on the year. Just like other years, we had some good and some bad things happen, but it seems as though the bad were a bit worse than normal.
The bad included the passing of two of Carl's nephews, and the passing of my Aunt Lillian. Of course I have to add Carl's stroke in August to the bad list.
The good was being able to take a couple really neat vacations and other short excursions.
In January we went to the 'Phoenix Quilt, Craft and Sewing Festival'. This is the show I try to go to each year. It is a great place to pick up new quilting and sewing ideas and see new things. There wasn't much new stuff this year, but I think Estelle had a fun time. I was also able to take a couple classes with Kaye Wood, too!
In May we went to San Diego, CA through Fredonia, AZ and Paso Robles, CA. Carl won a free trip for 4 to Sea World the year before so we made it a week long excursion. We spent the first couple days with Kelly and family in Fredonia, then skipped through Las Vegas for a stop at the Venetian to see the living statues on our way to Paso Robles to see Trebor's family, then we met up with Spencer and kids in San Diego, CA. Of course I needed to stop at 'Quilt in a Day' before we hit our motel in San Diego. I didn't get to meet Eleanor Burns, but I did get to see her in action at her store. Carl laughing calls our vacations as 'quilt store tours' instead of vacations, LOL!
In August we went to the 'Western Legends Round-up' in Fredonia, AZ and visited with Kelly and family, too.
In September we took Estelle on the 'Maricopa Shop Hop'. We went all over the valley visiting quilt shops. I have gone on this shop hop for several years and always pick up a few neat items and ideas.
In October we went on the 'Dolly Steamboat'. It was neat trip just to be able to see another area of Arizona and the wildlife that is so abundant in this area. I think the most exciting thing we did this year was to be part of the posse at the 'Wild West Festival' in Glendale, AZ. We sat at the information booth and talked with a lot of people and had a front row seat next to one of the outdoor stages.
In November they did another 'Phoenix Quilt, Craft and Sewing Festival', but this one wasn't as good as the one in January. Loretta went with us this time. It got Carl out of the house and we both had some exercise. We also had the 'kids' and their families at the house for Thanksgiving. That was nice to have the family here.
Now that this year is at an end I need to start thinking what needs to be accomplished next year. Right now the only thing that comes to mind is a lot of quilts LOL!
