Life around me.

I love looking at the White Tank Mountains. They are just west of us and I drive toward them going to work and church. We get really weird cloud cover when it is monsoon season and this is what the White Tanks looked like last weekend. The whole valley was covered with clouds.

This is looking east with the White Tanks behind me.

Earlier this year we had to say goodbye to an old friend. We picked up this 1989 Dodge Omni in 2009. This little friend got us to work many a day as well as taking us all over the valley for fun. We sure do miss running around in this car, but as with all good things this too ended.

Sometimes posting is a pain.......

Well, I thought I'd be a good do-bee tonight and post pictures of our trip to Prescott, AZ for the rodeo..... What a chore. I downloaded all of the pictures yesterday so I thought it would be just a quick 5 minutes to post. Oh no, it never works out that way. I guess that is why I sometimes don't post as much as I would like. I did resize the pictures yesterday and loaded what I wanted on the 'Vacations!' tab, then as I was doing my usual review I noticed I forgot my watermark. Ok, so I just went back to PhotoScape, added my watermark and was replacing all of my pictures when I couldn't see my watermark..... Grrr, now what did I do wrong? Well, I watermarked all of the originals instead of the resized ones in my blog folder. So back I go to PhotoScape and watermark the correct photos. Now back to BlogSpot to replace my pictures. Of course your post never looks the same as the first time so you have to play and figure out what needs to be changed. I don't get as frustrated as I use to when I have to revamp my posts. I have learned a few things since starting this blog. I hope you enjoy checking out the pictures I posted on one of our fun days of the year!

Happy 4th of July!

We couldn't decide which fireworks we wanted to see, so we went out to one of the main roads that had open fields.  We ended up watching about 24 different sets of fireworks all around us. We sat out there a little over an hour while we ate our subs. The one that was the closest to us was Luke Air Force Base. Then we think we saw Surprise, Avondale, Goodyear, Tolleson, University of Phoenix Stadium, Glendale, Peoria, Sun City, Sun City West, Phoenix and a whole lot more we couldn't even guess what town or area they were being launched from. It sure was a fantastic show! There was a nice breeze and it was much cooler than it has been.
These are all pictures of LAFB. As you can see my camera was giving me fits. I did manage to get some video, but of course I am not sure how to download those from my camera..... Other than getting frustrated with the camera we had a pleasant night.
